  • Represents your views when dealing with issues that come before council
  • Considers and makes decisions that will have long-term consequences for our Town
  • Investigates and resolves citizen inquiries and complaints, if possible

How Municipal Councillors are elected in Oakville:

  • The Town of Oakville is divided into seven wards. Each ward elects two representatives to serve on Council. Each voter selects a candidate from among the candidates running for Town Councillor and another candidate from among the candidates running for Regional & Town Councillor
